Bardangle
Jewelry is the culmination of combining my love of fashion and my desire to own
a business.I wanted the flexibility and
independence that owning my own business provides.
I've
always been interested in fashion and have always kept an eye posted towards the
latest trends. My early career started in the fashion district in New York
City. I didn't pursue a career in fashion though; instead I went to work
for an international airline.My travels
gave me an "eye" for appreciating classic pieces with a bit of flair to
them. After many years, I left the airline industry and moved to Washington, DC.In 2005, in my spare time, I began to sell
jewelry part time...just for fun.
As time went on, selling jewelry became more than a part-time,
just-for-fun activity and one day, while selling at a jewelry party, I realized
how much I enjoyed doing this.In 2006, I decided to
turn this into a full time business and Bardangle Jewelry was born. I work very
closely with the best design shops and carefully handpick each item. Bardangle Jewelry
has such a wide appeal because of the unique designs and affordability we
provide.
I
travel often and am always looking for new and unique accessories. In 2008,
while on vacation in Southeast Asia, I found the beautiful silk bags and
scarves that have become a great addition to the Bardangle line. They are from
small villages and are made using techniques and skills that are handed down for
generations.
I
would like to share my success with other entrepreneurial woman so that they
can also enjoy all the benefits of being a business owner. Being an Independent Sales Rep is a fantastic way to
start on the path towards achieving goals and begin a rewarding,
self-directed career.Helping
other entrepreneurial women achieve their goals is more fulfilling then I could
have imagined.
In
addition, I am partnered with NOCC and OCNA to help increase awareness of
ovarian cancer.As a survivor myself, I
wanted to use my business as a vehicle to raise funds and awareness.Throughout the year, I hold fundraisers and
donate 15% of sales sold at selected venues.
